Open letter to “concerned” Europeans

I come from a working man family. The major part of my friends belong to poor families. I know how shitty it feels, when one cannot afford all the Bling Bling we see on the TV every day. I know how it can make one nervous as hell when one depends from social compensations and has to count pennies all the time. Or how shitty it is, to do a full time job without being able to buy the necessary stuff for the house, to replace a broken washing machine or to buy a new bicycle for the kid, without spending the saving money one has put aside with a lot of efforts. And then some morons, who don’t have other things to suggest, decide to open a refugee center in our town?

Now, dear citizens, for nothing, absolutely nothing, we should blame the refugees. On the contrary, refugees don’t want to live in mass populated neighborhoods, where they are concentrated without any account for cultural differences. Without any perspective to move freely or to do a job. Refugees, dear citizens, they either don’t want to come here to take from you the little belongings you own. They come here because war reigns over their countries. Or because their countries are so terribly destroyed that they can’t do much more than waiting till their kids die from hunger. Or because they are politically persecuted.

Dear „concerned citizens of Europe“, do you really believe that one takes the risk to travel to the military guarded fortress of Europe just for fun? Taking the same route where thousands of innocent people drown somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea, without knowing that someone from us might be “concerned” about their life situations? Now I might hear you say: “what should I care, I have my other worries. Why don’t these poor lads stay in their countries?”

But please, do not ignore the reasons why their countries are so f’cked up, that no one would like to live there any longer. A lot has to do with wars, waged by the West. It also has something to do with weapon exports from Germany via Quatar and Saudi Arabia into crisis zones. A lot has to do with economic politics, making profit out of the non-simultaneous development of several popular economies.

To make things short, you, by being unable to create any resistance to the fact that US and EU armies are destroying other countries in your name, have the dignity to blame those who come here to find shelter from this misery? Don’t you have any values? Why don’t you stand up against your real enemies, against capital and state? Not those you find as scapegoats, those you chase from the streets.

You think and say, „because foreigners cost so much money, only a little money is left for us“. First of all, those foreigners „cost“ nothing at all, for the case one wants to stay in the frame of this ridiculous argument, while they are even more exploited and peeled as you are. In several countries they even cause positive revenues.

When you really believe that the state didn’t spend so much money on foreigners you might find the money under your Christmas tree, why don’t you work harder to get rid of other costs. Where were you when the state spent 50 billions of Euros to save the bank from being bankrupt? Where is your resistance against the expensive arming projects in our countries? We saw nothing of your resistance against the war in Afganistan costing tens of billion Euros. Only when it comes to asylum, you transform into money saving champions?

Now, let’s talk a bit further. The real problem is, dear citizens, that you don’t have to live in spaces where too many foreigners live, but that you have to live in spaces where too little foreigners live. Studies proved that racism comes from places where there is only a little contact between ethnic and religious communities. You look up your information on blog pages from racist no-hairs inventing their own stories in order to form an image about foreigners, an image which has nothing to do with reality. A small tip from the side, not everything written on the web is truth.

In the German province of Saxony, where the anti-Islamic PEGIDA movement moves ten thousand on the streets against the Islamization of the West, live about 0,1 percent Muslims. That you call Islamization? In Berlin, the Islamic part of the population is even about 6,5 percent. Only that in Berlin almost no one takes the streets against immigration, because in Berlin the foreigners are our neighbours, our buddies, the parents who take their kids to the same schools where our kids are going. Because in Berlin we go drink coffee at Ali & Fatima’s place every morning, instead of reading blogs from ultra hateful internet racists f*cking up our minds with self invented horror-propaganda about criminal foreigners until we shit in our German pants from fear.

Maybe you also realised you demonstrate because you want to focus the causes of your daily concerns, on scapegoats , you call “Muslim” in some cases, or simply ‘foreigners’ in other cases. You sum up the problems you have and which are legitimate to express and to do something about. But instead of searching for the real causes of your misery, you search for the weakest links of our society, the foreigners and the refugees, and blame them for being the root of all misery. “When you don’t watch out, the media will bring you to hate the oppressed and love your oppressor” Malcom X once wrote. You don’t watch out, and there is not even media needed for you, some middle-class Neonazis, racists and similar intellectual show-offs work well enough. You let them explain who is to blame for everything?

You let the boulevard press, PI news, NPD, the identitarian blocs, UKIP, Front National, Vlaams Belang, the neofascist freedom parties or whatever we should call them, explain that the foreigners or more actually the muslims are to be blamed for your misery. But they are not. Just like you and me, most of the refugees who come here, and most of the foreigners who live here, are have-not’s. And it is nothing to be ashamed of. What we should be ashamed for is only not to recognize the real enemy but to declare disgraced people as scapegoats.
